Can you remember your very first WOD – what was it?

My first WOD was half Cindy at the end of our on-ramp sessions

What’s your favourite workout or lift and why?

My favourite WOD’s usually involve the concept rower, but in terms of lifts Power cleans and overhead are definitely my favourite.

What motivated you to join the community at Fortis?

A friend invited me to a Cross-Fit on Ramp a while back, and once Fortis opened I continued there. I soon realised there was a lot to learn and was really keen to challenge myself.

What are your goals for this year?

My number one goals for 2019 was firstly to enjoy my training, but to also be a strong competitor in the September Masters League competition in Melbourne.

What are you enjoying most about training at Fortis?

The great thing about Fortis is training with people who become great friends and encourage everyone to get the best from themselves regardless of age or ability.

The functional training with dedicated and knowledgeable coaches has really helped me a huge amount with my mobility and lifting technique in work and life in general.

Tell us one interesting fact or something we don’t know about you

Aside from being the oldest athlete at Fortis – surprising I know! I have a snapper line class World Record capture that still stands after 20 years.
